NCBC Casino Night happened again, but not without the hard work of Jim, Christine and all the volunteers. This must have been my fourth or fifth time attending the Casino Night party and I am still amazed by how this party showcases the dedication of our NCBC family to the party and to the purpose of the block club in general.

For Boylan, James Boylan… preparation starts weeks ahead of time. There are invitations to design and mail, there are volunteers to secure for table set up and tear down, and there are dealers to be trained (like myself). The “behind the scenes” work is tremendous no matter how much fun is had in the process. This year we had a special surprise with the wonderful new NCBC Casino Night sign created by Christene. This really added a nice touch to an already excellent party.

Even though we had the Detroit Tigers in the World Series and a major University of Michigan football game, we had a great turn out and the house didn’t lose any money……even with Dan Coke on Roulette Wheel all night.
